Rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a new civil lawsuit alleging he sexually assaulted a minor during a Hollywood networking event nearly two decades ago.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on June 8, alleges that an unnamed former child actor was assaulted by Combs during an industry gathering in 2007. The complaint adds to the growing list of legal challenges surrounding the entertainment figure, whose representatives have strongly denied the allegations.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sued Over Alleged Sexual Assault of Minor as Representative Denies Claims
According to court documents, the plaintiff claims he attended a networking event in the Hollywood Hills in May 2007 while working as a child actor.
The lawsuit alleges that Combs approached the young performer during the event and expressed interest in discussing a project he was producing. The plaintiff claims the conversation eventually moved to a private room inside the property.
There, the complaint alleges, Combs offered the minor alcohol before an alleged sexual assault took place.
The plaintiff is seeking damages through the civil action and has named multiple parties as defendants.
Former Talent Representatives Also Named
In addition to Combs, the lawsuit names the plaintiff’s former agents as defendants.
The complaint accuses the agents of helping facilitate an environment that allegedly allowed the encounter to occur. According to the filing, the event was presented as a professional networking opportunity for young performers seeking industry connections.
The plaintiff alleges that those responsible for organizing and facilitating attendance failed to protect minors who were present at the gathering.
The lawsuit argues that the event created circumstances that exposed children to potential harm.
Combs’ Representative Rejects Allegations
A spokesperson for Combs has firmly denied the accusations.
In a statement provided to Forbes, representative Juda Engelmayer described the allegations as false and without merit.
The spokesperson also criticized the lawsuit’s anonymous filing and suggested the claim was part of a broader effort by individuals seeking financial compensation through legal action.
Combs has consistently denied allegations of sexual misconduct in multiple legal matters filed against him in recent years.
At the time of publication, attorneys representing the plaintiff had not publicly responded to the denial issued by Combs’ camp.
Legal Troubles Continue for Music Mogul
The new filing arrives as Combs continues to face heightened legal scrutiny.
The music executive remains one of the most recognizable figures in the entertainment industry, having built a career spanning music, television, fashion, and business ventures.
However, legal controversies have increasingly overshadowed his professional legacy in recent years.
The latest lawsuit represents another civil claim that could face extensive legal review before any findings are made in court.
As with all civil complaints, the allegations contained in the filing remain claims made by the plaintiff and have not been proven in court.
What Happens Next?
The case is expected to proceed through the California court system in the coming months.
Both sides may file additional motions, responses, and supporting evidence as the litigation moves forward.
For now, the lawsuit remains in its early stages, with the plaintiff presenting allegations and Combs’ representatives categorically denying them.
Any future court rulings, settlements, or legal developments could significantly impact the trajectory of the case.
