Skilla Baby was in the middle of an interview on The Breakfast Club Tuesday morning when his phone alarm went off.
The Detroit rapper silenced the alarm and explained that it was time for his prayer.
Charlamagne tha God immediately offered to pause the interview so Skilla Baby could pray. The show stopped, and the hosts left their chairs and gathered in a circle in the studio.
Loren LoRosa led the group in prayer while everyone held hands.
Her prayer focused on Skilla Baby’s journey, leadership and vulnerability. She also asked God to provide comfort as he continues to share his story with others.

LoRosa also prayed for Skilla Baby to find peace during difficult moments.
She asked for protection from fear and confusion while recognizing that the rapper had a purpose for continuing his journey.
The moment brought a personal pause to the interview as the conversation shifted away from music and toward faith and reflection.
After the prayer ended, Charlamagne praised LoRosa and encouraged Skilla Baby to continue growing.
“Beautiful prayer, Loren,” Charlamagne said before offering words of encouragement to the rapper.
Skilla Baby Has Spoken About His Mental Health
The prayer comes after Skilla Baby survived a shooting outside Detroit in May 2025.
According to the report, more than 25 rounds were fired at his SUV during a drive-by. Skilla Baby was hit three times and later underwent multiple surgeries.
The rapper has previously explained that surviving the shooting itself was not the most difficult part of the experience.
Instead, he has described his long-running mental health struggles as a greater challenge.
That history added more weight to the prayer during Tuesday’s interview. LoRosa’s words acknowledged both the difficult experiences Skilla Baby has faced and the responsibility that can come with sharing those experiences publicly.

Skilla Baby appeared on The Breakfast Club while promoting his album The Price of Fame.
The project arrives as the rapper continues to build his career while speaking more openly about his personal experiences.
His decision to honor his prayer time during the interview also gave viewers a glimpse into an important part of his life beyond music.
