Nia Long has officially added a Hollywood Walk of Fame star to her name.
The beloved actress celebrated the milestone Wednesday, September 16, surrounded by friends and entertainment figures including Snoop Dogg and film producer Graham King.
Long received the 2,857th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Motion Pictures category. The ceremony took place at 6150 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The honor recognizes a career that has spanned more than three decades across film and television.
Nia Long celebrates a major career milestone
Long has built a career filled with memorable roles.
She first gained major attention with her performance as Brandi in Boyz n the Hood. She later appeared in films including Friday, Love Jones, Soul Food and The Best Man.
Her television work also became a major part of her career. Long appeared in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Third Watch, Empire, Dear White People and other popular series.
Over the years, she has continued moving between film and television while taking on acting and producing projects.
Snoop Dogg and Graham King join the celebration
Snoop Dogg and Graham King were among the special guests at Long’s Walk of Fame ceremony.
The connection with King is especially notable because the producer worked on Michael, the 2026 Michael Jackson biopic. Long portrayed Katherine Jackson in the film, while King served as a producer.
Snoop Dogg also has his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star. The rapper received the 2,651st star in the Recording category in 2018.
Their presence added another layer to Long’s celebration as she marked the latest achievement in her Hollywood career.
Long’s legacy continues on screen
Long’s Walk of Fame honor arrives during another active period in her career.
She recently starred in Michael, where she played Katherine Jackson. She has also completed work on Netflix’s upcoming romantic drama Don’t Ever Wonder, which reunites her with her Love Jones co-star Larenz Tate.
The actress also serves as an executive producer on the project.
In addition, Long and Ice Cube are set to reunite for Are They Gone Yet?, which is currently in early development. The project comes more than two decades after they appeared together in Are We There Yet? and Are We Done Yet?.
Long is also preparing to release a memoir through Gallery Books.
A new chapter for Nia Long
The Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony gives Long another major career milestone to celebrate.
Her star now joins thousands of others along Hollywood Boulevard. More importantly, the honor places her name among performers recognized for their contributions to motion pictures.
