Ariel Fitz-Patrick On Performing During The ASGC, And Balancing Faith, Music and Viral Content Creation

Feb. 13, 2025 / Entertainment+ Music / Author: Porsha Monique

Ariel Fitz-Patrick, a Motown Gospel recording artist, songwriter, and viral content creator, has captivated millions with her unique approach to faith-based storytelling. As a Montreal, Canada, native, Fitz-Patrick seamlessly blends gospel music and engaging social media content, bringing biblical narratives to life in a way that resonates with today’s audiences. With over three million followers across platforms, she has become a prominent voice in contemporary Christian media.

From Church Choirs to a Major Gospel Label

Fitz-Patrick’s journey in gospel music began early, deeply rooted in her upbringing. “My parents are pastors, so church was my whole life,” she shared exclusively with Revelence. “In church, you don’t get asked to join the choir—you’re just in it.” With her father as a musician and her mother leading praise and worship, music was a natural part of her life. Though it initially felt like an obligation, she quickly fell in love with singing and, by the age of ten, knew she wanted to pursue it professionally.

Fitz-Patrick gained experience singing in churches and events. However, it was through social media that she discovered an unexpected passion. “I was never into social media as a teenager, but in college, I started watching YouTubers, and it inspired me,” she recalled. “That’s when my sister and I launched a YouTube channel, which sparked my interest in content creation.”

While music remained her primary focus, her digital presence grew as she experimented with different types of content, including hair tutorials and comedy skits. It was not until 2020/2021 that her faith-based skits went viral, ultimately reigniting her passion for music and leading her back to the recording studio. “I didn’t expect to go viral for my skits, but when I did, it felt like God was redirecting me,” she explained. “Then, when I released ‘God Love,’ things started falling into place, and eventually, Motown Gospel reached out.”

Discovering Her Comedic Talent

Fitz-Patrick’s ability to connect with audiences through humor was a surprising revelation. “I never thought of myself as funny, but people around me always told me I was,” she explained. “A music industry colleague once said he always saw that side of me, and my parents agreed.” It was only when she leaned into comedy and started incorporating biblical themes into her skits that she realized the impact of her storytelling.

Performing on a Faith-Based Platform at NBA All-Star Weekend

Fitz-Patrick is set to perform at the All-Star Gospel Celebration during the NBA All-Star Weekend in the Bay Area, an opportunity she finds humbling. “I didn’t even know a faith-based platform existed during such an iconic weekend,” she says. “To be part of it is an honor. I truly believe that if God opens a door, there’s a purpose behind it.”

The event’s theme, A Love Letter to the Bay, resonates deeply with her. “Over the past year, I’ve been writing a lot about love—specifically God’s love,” she notes. “At first, I didn’t understand why, but then I realized God was taking me through a journey to fully grasp His love, how it heals, and how it never fails.”

New Music and Songwriting Process

Fans can expect new music from Fitz-Patrick soon, as she is currently working on a full project set to release in the spring. “I’ll be dropping singles leading up to it, and I’m so excited for everyone to hear what I’ve been working on,” she reveals. As a songwriter, she takes pride in crafting her music. “I’ve written on pretty much all the songs, so I’ve been involved in every part of the process.”

For aspiring songwriters, she offers advice: “Don’t be afraid, and don’t doubt yourself. My mom always tells me that what I write is what God put inside of me. It’s not about me—it’s about being a vessel for His message.”

Balancing Faith, Music, and Social Media

Managing a thriving career as a social media influencer, musician, and content creator while staying true to her faith requires balance, and Fitz-Patrick credits her support system for keeping her grounded. “God is my everything, but He gave me my mother to keep me focused,” she says. “Whenever I feel overwhelmed, she reminds me to take a step back or push forward. She was the one who told me, ‘It’s time to start writing again,’ and that led me to ‘God Love.’”

Looking ahead, Fitz-Patrick remains committed to using her talents to inspire others. “I just pray that whatever I create—whether it’s music or content—impacts people in the way God intends.”

Fans can stay updated with Fitz-Patrick’s journey by following her on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook under Ariel Fitzpatrick or Ariel Fitz. As she continues to expand her influence, one thing is clear—her love for God and creative storytelling will remain at the heart of her work.
