On June 1, the 2026 Gotham Television Awards ceremony took place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Three shows dominated the night. DTF St. Louis, Pluribus, and I Love LA each claimed top prizes. Big Mistakes, Death by Lightning, and Alien: Earth also picked up wins in their respective categories.

Series winners

DTF St. Louis took the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series prize. Beyond that top honor, the HBO Max series also earned the Outstanding Supporting Performance win for David Harbour. Over on Apple TV, Pluribus won Breakthrough Drama Series. Created by Rachel Sennott, I Love LA claimed Breakthrough Comedy Series for HBO Max.

In the Breakthrough Nonfiction Series category, Katrina: Come Hell and High Water claimed the prize. Executive produced by Spike Lee, Geeta Gandbhir, and Sam Pollard, the Netflix documentary was among the night’s more celebrated wins. For Outstanding Original Film, Reflection in a Dead Diamond took the top prize for Shudder.

Notably, two heavily nominated series went home empty-handed. Despite receiving three nominations each, both Beef and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms failed to convert on the night.

Performance winners

In comedy, Tim Robinson won Outstanding Lead Performance for The Chair Company on HBO Max. Over in drama, Chase Infiniti claimed Outstanding Lead Performance for The Testaments on Hulu. For limited series, Michael Shannon won Outstanding Lead Performance for Death by Lightning on Netflix.

Supporting honors were spread across multiple shows. Laurie Metcalf won for Big Mistakes in comedy, while Babou Ceesay took the drama prize for Alien: Earth. In limited series, David Harbour won for DTF St. Louis. Beyond the series categories, Cory Michael Smith won Outstanding Performance in an Original Film for Mountainhead on HBO Max.

Several industry figures also received special recognition throughout the evening. Michelle Pfeiffer accepted the Legend Tribute for her work on The Madison and Margo’s Got Money Troubles. For Imperfect Women, Kerry Washington received the Spotlight Tribute. Claire Danes accepted the Performer Tribute for The Beast in Me. As creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers received the Visionary Tribute. Rounding out the honors, the ensemble cast of FX’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette accepted the Ensemble Tribute.
