Tribeca Festival 2026 Day 4 on June 6 produced one of the most star-studded evenings of the entire festival. The OKX Theater at BMCC hosted the Survivor 50th panel and the world premiere of Happy Hours back to back. Moreover, the SVA Theatre welcomed Paul Rudd for the world premiere of Rain Reign. Furthermore, Bob Odenkirk and David Cross brought the house down for the world premiere of Bob and David Climb Machu Picchu.

Multiple world premieres ran at the same time across venues in lower Manhattan and the Village. Additionally, Spring Studios hosted filmmaker conversations and animated shorts curated by Whoopi Goldberg. Consequently, Day 4 became the festival’s most expansive evening to date.

The most anticipated moment of Tribeca Festival 2026 Day 4 happened at the OKX Theater. Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson walked the Happy Hours premiere together. Moreover, the film brought Constance Wu into the cast alongside Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Norah Jones. Furthermore, Norah Jones composed the film’s score, adding an additional layer of artistic distinction to the project.

The audience response was enthusiastic and emotional. Fans have waited years for Holmes and Jackson to share a screen again. Additionally, Happy Hours marks a major project for both actors at this stage of their careers. Consequently, the premiere delivered exactly the kind of moment the festival thrives on.

Holmes has built a strong independent film resume in recent years. Jackson has stayed busy across prestige drama and independent film. Moreover, their collaboration on Happy Hours generated significant attention well before the Tribeca screening. Furthermore, that anticipation showed in the crowd reaction throughout the evening.

Paul Rudd, Survivor legends, and Bob and David headline SVA

Paul Rudd headed to the SVA Theatre for the world premiere of Rain Reign. He arrived with a cast that included Mary Stuart Masterson, Jeremy Sisto, and journalist George Stephanopoulos. Moreover, the film adapts the beloved children’s novel by Ann M. Martin. Furthermore, Rudd’s presence drew large crowds to the SVA venue.

The Survivor 50th panel filled the OKX Theater earlier in the evening. Cirie Fields, Rob Cesternino, Kyle Fraser, Kamilla Karthigesu, Teeny Chirichillo, and Jonathan Penner all appeared. Moreover, Fields drew particular attention following her beloved Survivor 50 run and Sia Award win. Additionally, the panel showed Tribeca’s growing commitment to honoring television alongside film.

Bob Odenkirk and David Cross brought their reunion to the SVA Theatre for Bob and David Climb Machu Picchu. Amy Sedaris and Amber Tamblyn also joined the premiere event. Moreover, the crowd arrived expecting laughs and left satisfied. Consequently, the SVA Theatre delivered some of the night’s most memorable moments.

Spring Studios served as the festival’s creative hub throughout Day 4. Josh Safdie joined Rebecca Miller for a wide-ranging conversation on creativity and filmmaking. Moreover, Zach Woods took the stage alongside SNL writer Jane Wickline for a lively Storytelling Summit session. Furthermore, the programming honored both established and emerging voices in equal measure.

Whoopi Goldberg curated an animated shorts program across multiple Spring Studios screenings. She also appeared at the world premiere of Apart alongside filmmaker Pola Maneli and director Spike Lee. Moreover, the animated shorts block gave emerging animators a high-profile platform. Additionally, Spike Lee’s attendance added prestige to an already strong evening at Spring Studios.

Village East by Angelika hosted additional world premieres throughout the night. Josh Gad attended the premiere of Time Warp. Alexis Bledel appeared for Ponderosa alongside Bill Camp and Jack Dylan Grazer. Moreover, filmmaker Taika Waititi appeared at the Jail Time Records premiere at AMC 19th St. East 6. Consequently, Day 4 stretched across multiple venues and honored the full range of independent storytelling.

Tribeca has always balanced star power with genuine creative ambition. Day 4 achieved that balance again. The Holmes-Jackson reunion brought popular culture into the festival. Moreover, the Safdie-Miller conversation kept the focus on craft and the filmmaking process. Furthermore, Goldberg’s animation programming opened space for shorter, experimental work alongside major feature premieres.

The Survivor 50th panel added a television dimension that reflects how Tribeca continues to evolve. Reality television commands enormous cultural attention. Moreover, celebrating it at a major film festival sends a clear message about what storytelling means in 2026. Consequently, Day 4 felt like a genuine reflection of where entertainment is right now.
