Fortnite is closing out its current season with one final push to help players complete their Sprite collection. The event, called Sprite Spree Week, brings boosted odds and several new bonuses before Chapter 7 Season 4 begins.
A last chance before the season ends
Chapter 7 Season 3 wraps up on Aug. 19 at 11 p.m. Pacific Time, which is Aug. 20 at 2 a.m. Eastern Time. Once that happens, Epic Games will take the Battle Royale offline for maintenance ahead of Chapter 7 Season 4. Players in every region will see the shutdown at a different local time, so anyone still chasing Sprites should plan around their own time zone rather than assuming a single global cutoff.
Sprite Spree Week begins Saturday, Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time, right after the Unstable Story Moment wraps up. The event runs through Thursday, Aug. 20, giving players a five day window to track down any Sprites still missing from their collection.
Daily events and boosted odds
Each day of the event focuses on a different rare Sprite type, with better odds of encountering that variant while exploring the map. Mythic Hours start things off on Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time. Galaxy Hours follow on Aug. 16, Holo Hours arrive Aug. 17, Cube Hours take over Aug. 18, and Gem Hours close out the week on Aug. 19. Unlike a standard Power Hour, these boosted odds run for the entire day rather than a short window, giving players far more flexibility in when they log on to hunt.

Permanent bonuses throughout the week
Beyond the daily boosts, several bonuses stay active for the full event. Sprite XP is doubled, so players can master their collection faster. Resummoning a lost Sprite costs no Sprite Dust for the duration of the event. Epic Games is also distributing additional Lucky Locators, though the company has not shared exact numbers, and campfires will provide extra XP to speed up mastery even further.
Why the deadline matters
There are only 25 base Sprites to collect, but rare variants make full completion much harder. Any Sprites players extract before the season ends will carry over into the Sprite Garden once Chapter 7 Season 4 launches. However, most of them will be vaulted once the new season begins, meaning there is no guarantee they will return to the island later. That makes this week the last realistic opportunity for players hoping to lock in a complete Season 3 Sprite collection.
Epic Games has not confirmed an exact start time for Chapter 7 Season 4, though past updates suggest downtime could last roughly five and a half hours. Based on that pattern, the new season could go live sometime in the early morning hours Eastern Time on Aug. 20, though Epic could adjust that timeline depending on how the rollout goes.
