The 41st Stellar Awards winners included some of the biggest names in gospel music.
Darrel Walls, Jonathan McReynolds, Erica Campbell and Jekalyn Carr were among the artists who earned honors.
The ceremony took place August 15 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kirk Franklin hosted the show under the theme āFeels Like Home.ā
Later, The Stellar Network and BET aired the ceremony.
41st Stellar Awards Winners Make Their Mark
Darrel Walls earned the night’s top honor. He won Artist of the Year for Heart of Mine.
In addition, Walls won Contemporary Male Artist of the Year.
Meanwhile, Alescia Knowles-Smith won Song of the Year for āPromises (Live).ā
Jonathan McReynolds also earned a major award. He won Male Artist of the Year for Still (Live) featuring Jamal Roberts.
The Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year category ended in a tie. JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise and Vincent Bohanan & SOV shared the honor.

Tasha Cobbs Leonard Receives a Major Honor
Beyond the competitive categories, the ceremony also recognized Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
She received the Aretha Franklin Icon Award for her contributions to gospel music.
Similarly, Pastor Mike Jr. received the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award.
These special honors added another memorable moment to the ceremony.
