Doja Cat opened the North American leg of her Tour Ma Vie World Tour at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on Oct. 1. Latto served as the special guest for the run. During the show, Doja brought Latto back to the stage for Okayyy, their collaboration from Latto’s fourth studio album Big Mama. JamBase reported that it appeared to be the first time the two had performed the song together live.
The performance arrived months after the pair released the Okayyy music video. The collaboration had already become part of the buildup around Big Mama, which came out in May. Doja later added Latto to every date on the 31 city North American leg of the tour.
For fans in Detroit, the timing made the reunion especially notable. The tour had been promoted as a major new chapter for Doja, while Latto entered the run with a new album and a different personal chapter of her own.
What Doja Cat performed in Detroit
Doja filled the opening night with songs from across her catalog. According to the published setlist, she performed more than 30 songs, including tracks from Vie, Scarlet, Planet Her and Hot Pink. She opened with Cards and closed with Jealous Type.
The show also moved between newer material and songs that helped define Doja’s earlier sound. That gave longtime listeners plenty of familiar moments while keeping the focus on Vie, the album supporting the current tour.
Latto also had her own place in the Detroit spotlight. Her presence gave the concert a second major draw before the two artists shared the stage for Okayyy.

Why ‘Big Mama’ means more for Latto now
The Detroit appearance comes at an important point in Latto’s life away from music. She confirmed her pregnancy earlier this year through the Business & Personal video and the rollout for Big Mama. She later confirmed that she had welcomed a daughter with 21 Savage.
That personal chapter now sits alongside her growing career. Latto has continued performing while promoting an album whose title has taken on added meaning after becoming a mother.
The Detroit show also came with another hometown moment. During her opening set, Latto brought out Detroit artist Dej Loaf, adding another local connection to the night.
Where the tour goes next
Doja Cat’s North American tour continues through December. The official Detroit venue listing confirms that the run began Oct. 1 with Latto as the special guest. The North American dates are scheduled to end with a Dec. 1 performance at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The next dates include Chicago on Oct. 3 and Minneapolis on Oct. 4.
Detroit gave the tour a memorable opening chapter. It also gave Doja Cat and Latto a chance to turn a studio collaboration into a live moment that had been waiting for a stage.
