Warning: major spoilers for Love Island USA season 8 episode 17 below
Casa Amor has arrived for Love Island USA Season 8, and it came with a sharp twist. The show’s classic loyalty test usually works through distance. Couples get split apart, temptation gets added, and everyone waits to see who makes a bad decision. This time, Casa Amor brought its own screen, its own trapdoor and a genuinely wicked sense of timing.
The season needed the jolt. Couples had started settling into routines, even when those routines involved bruised egos and sideways apologies. Then the show handed the boys a new villa, gave the girls a live view of everything happening inside it, and let every kiss and comment become evidence in real time.
The villa carries tension into Casa Amor
The episode opens with existing trouble already simmering. KC and Aniya remain on rocky ground, with Aniya telling him to explore other connections in a tone that lands more like a dare than genuine permission. Furthermore, Zach and Kayda have their own conflict brewing. Kayda’s conversation with Caleb sends Zach into overthinking mode, and their following exchange turns sharp, with Kayda calling him an annoying overthinker who is not listening.
Kenzie also enters Casa Amor carrying a fresh grievance. After Corbin reveals that the guys wanted her sent home, she pushes back against being reduced to a single narrative within the villa. The morning offers a brief reprieve, with Melanie admitting her feelings for Sincere and Caleb cooking a large breakfast for the group before the mood shifts entirely.
The boys head to Casa Amor for Hearts on Fire
The Islanders learn they are preparing for Hearts on Fire, and the energy flips instantly. The boys receive a text instructing them to leave the villa and head to Casa Amor. They race out in their challenge gear, fully unaware of what is about to happen next.
The girls, meanwhile, arrive at their own firepit expecting a separate challenge. Instead, they discover a giant wrapped box containing a flat-screen TV showing a live feed of the boys at Casa Amor. The boys have no idea they are being watched. Privacy disappears from the villa instantly.
5 new bombshells stir up trouble at Casa Amor
Amora, a 21-year-old student from Atlanta, arrives first and quickly turns the live feed into a crisis. She kisses both Bryce and Zach, drawing visible frustration from Kayda back at the firepit. Parmida, a 27-year-old personal trainer from San Antonio, brings out competitive instincts in KC and Corbin, while bombshell Jaden handcuffs Corbin to a pole for the group’s amusement.
The tension escalates further when Corbin says on the live feed that he plans to return with someone different. Kenzie hears every word. She immediately ends things with him, already frustrated from the earlier conversation about her standing in the villa.
Tierra arrives next dressed as a nurse, locking her attention on KC. Her arrival pushes Trinity to her breaking point with Bryce, while Aniya watches Tierra pursue KC and feels the sting of an already painful night deepen further.
Alana and Sydney round out the new arrivals. Alana, a 21-year-old from Miami, makes her intentions clear from the start. Sydney, a 25-year-old cardiologist’s assistant, announces she is there to take someone’s man. Sincere’s response to her, promising to be whatever she wants him to be, lands especially badly with the girls watching from the firepit.
The girls respond as the live feed cuts off
The screen eventually shuts off, and the girls receive a final message confirming the boys will spend the next several days at Casa Amor. The mood shifts to anger almost immediately. However, the girls do not stay down for long. Back at the villa, Melanie leads an impromptu dance performance that functions as both celebration and emotional retaliation against what they just witnessed.
At Casa Amor, the new arrivals begin chanting “Casa,” with the boys joining in. The villa girls hear the chanting and respond by shouting back, turning the situation into a long-distance confrontation between the two villas. Kenzie, visibly worked up, lets out her frustration in dramatic fashion as the episode closes.
No new couples form during the episode
By the end of episode 17, no Islander has formed a new couple. Casa Amor opened without any formal recoupling and without a clean resolution. Instead, it leaves both villas suspended in uncertainty, with the boys still adjusting to their new surroundings and the girls left to process what they witnessed on screen.
