The story begins when a mysterious storm catches the PAW Patrol crew by surprise. As a result, their ship crashes onto an uncharted tropical island that has remained hidden from the rest of the world.
Soon after arriving, the pups discover the island is home to living dinosaurs. They also meet Rex, a resourceful pup who has survived on the island for years. Because of his experience, Rex knows the prehistoric landscape better than anyone else.
Together, the team prepares to protect both the island and its ancient inhabitants.
Mayor Humdinger creates a dangerous crisis
However, peace does not last long.
Mayor Humdinger arrives with plans to mine the island for its valuable natural resources. Unfortunately, his reckless actions awaken a massive dormant volcano.
As the volcano erupts, the island quickly falls into chaos. Dinosaurs scatter across the landscape, lava threatens every corner of the island, and countless lives hang in the balance.
Consequently, the PAW Patrol faces the most dangerous rescue mission in franchise history.

Star-studded voice cast returns
The film features an impressive voice cast led by Carter Young, Mckenna Grace, Terry Crews, Meredith MacNeill, Ron Pardo, Jennifer Hudson, Hayden Chemberlen, Fortune Feimster, Jameela Jamil, Rain Janjua, Bill Nye, Paris Hilton, Lucien Duncan-Reid, William Desrosiers, Nylan Parthipan, and Snoop Dogg. The movie also introduces Henry Bolan.
Meanwhile, Cal Brunker returns to direct the feature after co-writing the screenplay with Bob Barlen.
Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie, and Toni Stevens serve as producers, while Ronnen Harary joins the project as executive producer. The film remains based on the original television series created by Keith Chapman.
