Paramount+ has renewed four of its family drama mainstays for new seasons, giving fans more secrets, more setbacks and more slow burning reconciliation across its BET Studios slate. The streamer confirmed new seasons for The Black Hamptons, The Family Business, Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas and Tyler Perry’s Zatima, continuing a run of shows that built loyal audiences during their years on BET+.
The pickups mark the first wave of scripted renewals since BET+ folded into Paramount+ in June, when the smaller streamer’s programming migrated over to the larger platform. Paramount+ head of originals Jane Wiseman told press last week that the transition has gone smoothly and that audiences have followed the shows to their new home, adding that the volume of originals BET+ built its reputation on is not going anywhere now that the library lives on Paramount+.
What is coming back
Here is what each renewal covers.
- The Black Hamptons, Season 3, 10 episodes. Based on Carl Weber’s novel, the series follows the Britton family as tension builds with the newly arrived Johnsons in the upscale Sag Harbor community.
- The Family Business, Season 7, 10 episodes. The wealthy Duncan family runs an enterprise that operates well outside the law, and loyalty still comes before anything else.
- Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas, Season 3, 16 episodes. A spinoff of Perry’s Sistas, the show follows Rasheda, Geneva, Naomi, Tiffany and Bridgette as old secrets resurface and force them to confront both the men in their lives and each other.
- Tyler Perry’s Zatima, Season 6, 16 episodes. Zac and Fatima keep fighting to hold their family together while working through forgiveness, loss and what it takes to build a future together.
A steady bet on Paramount+
The renewals land months after Paramount bought out Tyler Perry Studios’ stake in BET+, a deal that folded the platform fully into Paramount and cemented Perry as one of the company’s most prolific producers across both BET and Paramount+. Wiseman said the relationship with Perry remains strong and that she is looking forward to more projects from him alongside BET Studios, which also produces all four newly renewed series.

The Black Hamptons pickup is notable on its own. The show’s second season wrapped more than two years ago, and its return suggests Paramount+ had been sitting on the renewal for a while before making it official. The Family Business, meanwhile, comes back after its sixth season finale dropped last December.
BET Studios comedy Ms. Pat Show was already renewed for a sixth season back in March, ahead of the broader migration to Paramount+, so this new batch of pickups effectively completes the streamer’s early commitment to its BET catalog.
No premiere dates yet
Paramount+ has not announced when any of the four new seasons will arrive. For now, fans of The Black Hamptons, The Family Business, Divorced Sistas and Zatima know only that their favorite family sagas are not finished yet.
