Bebe Rexha has made her interest in Drake pretty clear. The singer recently revealed that she sent the rapper a confident message, but so far, she has not heard back.
Rexha discussed the exchange during an appearance on Angie Martinez’s IRL podcast. She explained that she decided to reach out to Drake and gave him a playful introduction that left little doubt about her intentions.
The singer said she does not know whether Drake saw the message. She also admitted that she cannot tell if he read it and chose not to respond. Either way, Rexha appears to be taking the silence in stride.

Rexha described herself as Drake’s potential dream girl while highlighting her Albanian background, career and confidence. Her message was direct, but she presented the whole situation with a sense of humor.
That approach fits the singer’s personality. Rather than treating the unanswered DM as an embarrassment, she turned it into a funny story during her conversation with Martinez.
Martinez even suggested another way to get Drake’s attention. Instead of sending another personal message, she floated the idea of reaching out with a possible introduction. Rexha agreed that a setup might feel less forward.
For now, though, there is no indication that Drake has responded.
The Drake connection goes back years
Rexha also remembered an awkward encounter with Drake at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
According to her recollection, she approached him while he was surrounded by members of his team. Her attempt at a playful greeting did not receive the reaction she expected.
Rexha said security quickly stepped in and told her not to address Drake that way.
The memory added another layer to the story. Years later, she still found the encounter funny enough to bring it up while discussing her current crush.
She is keeping the mood light
Rexha also joked about what could happen if Drake never answers. The singer suggested that rejection would not leave her without options.
She has previously spoken publicly about fertility and freezing her eggs. During the podcast conversation, she connected that part of her life to a playful lyric about having her future plans covered.
That joke helped underline her attitude toward the situation. She may like Drake, but she is not presenting his response as something that determines her happiness.
For now, the unanswered message has become a story of its own.
Whether Drake eventually responds remains unknown. Until then, Rexha seems perfectly comfortable letting the internet wonder what happened on the other side of that DM.
