April Fools’ Day is usually about pranks, but this year some of the biggest restaurant chains in the country are flipping the script and offering real, no-strings-attached food deals to hungry customers on Wednesday, April 1.
Whether you are craving coffee, wings, doughnuts or a burger, there is something on this list worth grabbing. Here are nine deals and freebies to take advantage of today.
April Fools’ Day food deals happening right now
Dunkin’ is giving away 1,000,001 free coffees to Rewards members today. To claim the offer, members need to enter the code StillNotAJoke in the Dunkin’ app. The deal is valid for any size hot or iced coffee small, medium or large and remains redeemable for seven days after the code is entered. Cold brew and extra-large hot coffees are excluded, and the offer is limited to one per customer.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is offering a Sweet Heat Pepperoni Pizookie for just $4.01, available for dine-in orders today only. The one-day item combines a Chocolate Chunk Pizookie base with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream, pepperoni and a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey.
Checkers & Rally’s is discounting its Big Buford burger to $3 today through April 2. The double-patty burger comes loaded with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, dill pickles and all the classic condiments on a toasted bun.
Hooters is celebrating both April Fools’ Day and its 43rd anniversary the chain opened on April 1, 1983 by offering 10 wings for $4 today. The deal is available for dine-in only.
Shipley Donuts is treating loyalty members to a free four-pack of kolaches today. Members can claim the offer through the app.
Krispy Kreme is releasing a limited-edition Artemis II Doughnut in honor of NASA’s historic moon mission launch today, available through April 2. The Original Glazed doughnut is dipped in blue vanilla icing, topped with Oreo crunch, white nonpareils, a cookies-and-creme buttercream dollop and a red chevron inspired by the NASA logo. It is available in-store, for pickup and via delivery through the Krispy Kreme website and app.
Qdoba is offering free Signature 3-Cheese Queso or Queso Diablo Chips with any entree purchase for Rewards members today — coinciding with April’s full moon. Orders must be placed through the Qdoba website or mobile app. After today, the promotion will return on each subsequent full moon through December 23.
Taco John’s is offering $1 crispy tacos all day today, with no app required. Customers can redeem the deal in-store, at the drive-thru or at kiosks, with a limit of three $1 tacos per order and one redemption per guest.
Cheesecake Factory is giving away a free slice of cheesecake to customers who download the new Cheesecake Factory Rewards app and log into their account. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play.
A few more deals worth knowing about
Marco’s Pizza customers can use the code GOTCHA to get a Pepperoni Magnifico Pizza for $12.99. Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar is running happy hour specials from 3 to 6 p.m. local time, including $4 select beers and $8 margaritas. Denny’s is offering free delivery today through April 2 with a minimum $5 purchase. And frozen Greek yogurt brand Yasso is giving away 40,001 cartons of its Spoonables through April 30 fans can enter for a chance to win on the Yasso website.
With deals this good, the only joke would be missing out.
