
Peacock has officially announced the premiere date for its upcoming drama series The Five Star Weekend, and it comes with a cast that is hard to ignore.
The series centers on Hollis Shaw, a celebrated cook and bestselling author known for her warm personality, impeccable taste, and beloved recipes. When Hollis suffers a devastating personal loss, the grief begins to pull back the curtain on a life that was never quite as perfect as it appeared exposing a strained marriage, a complicated relationship with her daughter, and a deepening need for validation from her devoted fans.
In an effort to move through her grief and rediscover herself, Hollis decides to host a weekend getaway at her home on Nantucket, inviting 3 friends from distinct chapters of her life 1 from her childhood, 1 from her twenties, and 1 from her thirties — along with a surprise fifth guest. Set against a lush coastal backdrop, the weekend pushes boundaries, unravels secrets, and forces each woman to grow in ways none of them anticipated.
A cast packed with recognizable talent
Emmy Award-nominated actress Jennifer Garner not only stars in the series but also serves as an executive producer, taking on one of the most prominent roles of her television career in recent years.
She is joined by a remarkable ensemble that includes D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant. Additional cast members rounding out the series are Rob Huebel, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, West Duchovny, Judy Greer, Tory Devon Smith, Morrison Keddie, and Roberta Colindrez.

The Five Star Weekend was created and written by Bekah Brunstetter, who also serves as an executive producer alongside fellow writer and executive producer Beth Schacter. Minkie Spiro directs and executive produces the series, while Sue Naegle and Ali Krug of Dinner Party Productions, bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand, and Merri Howard also hold executive producer credits.
The series is produced by Universal Content Productions, a division of Universal Studio Group, and is adapted from Hilderbrand’s novel of the same name, lending the project a built-in readership that stretches across millions of devoted fans.

All 8 episodes of The Five Star Weekend will premiere exclusively on Peacock on Thursday, July 16.
