Two of the biggest fandoms in the world are about to collide at your nearest drive-through. McDonald’s has officially announced a limited-time collaboration with Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, the animated film that swept both the Golden Globes and the 98th Academy Awards, and the menu it is bringing to life is as detailed and deliberate as anything the fast food giant has ever put together. The new items arrive at McDonald’s locations across the United States on March 31.
For fans of the film who have been living inside the rivalry between the Saja Boys and HUNTR/X since the movie’s release, this collaboration offers something genuinely rare — a chance to experience the world of the film in a completely new and surprisingly immersive way.
The 3 new meals arriving March 31
The collaboration centers on 3 distinct menu offerings, each designed to reflect a different corner of the KPop Demon Hunters universe.
The first is the Saja Boys Breakfast Meal, built around the Spicy Saja McMuffin and served with hash browns and a small soft drink that the menu playfully dubs Soda Pop. It is a morning offering with real heat, designed to reflect the Saja Boys’ energy in the most edible way possible.
The second is the HUNTR/X Meal, which centers on 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and a medium soft drink, accompanied by three of the collaboration’s most talked-about limited-time items. Chief among them are the Ramyeon McShaker Fries, a genuinely inventive addition that takes McDonald’s signature fries and coats them in a soy, garlic, sesame, and spice seasoning drawn from a snack that Rumi, Mira, and Zoey reach for repeatedly throughout the film. The process is exactly what the name suggests — the seasoning goes into the McShaker bag, the fries go in with it, and the result is a bold, umami-driven experience that feels authentically rooted in South Korean food culture rather than a superficial nod to it.
The HUNTR/X Meal also comes with two dipping sauces that are worth paying attention to on their own. Hunter Sauce is a sweet chili preparation with chili, garlic, and pepper that captures the fierce but playful personality of HUNTR/X, while Demon Sauce is a bold purple mustard sauce with heat and tang, its color pulled directly from the demon patterns that define the film’s visual identity.
The third item arrives as a standalone offering. The Derpy McFlurry is the collaboration’s dessert entry and its most visually distinctive creation, blending creamy vanilla soft serve with berry popping pearls and a wild berry sauce that wraps the entire thing in something that looks and tastes genuinely different from anything currently on the McDonald’s menu.
What makes this collaboration different
Every meal in the KPop Demon Hunters collaboration comes with HUNTR/X and Saja Boys photo cards alongside a Derpy access card, turning each purchase into a collectible experience for fans who have already invested emotionally in the film’s characters and storyline. That level of detail signals that both McDonald’s and Netflix approached this partnership as a genuine creative exercise rather than a straightforward licensing deal.
The timing is notable. KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the 98th Academy Awards just weeks ago, meaning this collaboration arrives at the absolute peak of the film’s cultural moment. For McDonald’s, it is a chance to capture that momentum at the register. For Netflix, it is an opportunity to extend the life of a film that has already exceeded every expectation the studio had for it.
