Amazon Prime members in the United States are getting early access to one of the summer’s most anticipated superhero films. Amazon announced that paid Prime subscribers can attend advance screenings of Spider-Man: Brand New Day starting July 29. That date falls two days before the film’s official opening day of July 31. Tickets are not yet on sale, but fans can sign up to receive a notification the moment they become available.
What the film is about
Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker. The film also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. Destin Daniel Cretton directs, bringing his experience from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to the franchise. The film marks the next major MCU release, arriving roughly a year after The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
What to expect from ticket prices
Early screening tickets will likely cost around the same as a standard trip to the movies. Based on Amazon’s previous early-screening offer for Superman last year, IMAX tickets in New York City ran approximately $30 each. That benchmark gives Prime members a reasonable sense of what to budget ahead of tickets going on sale.
What you need to access the early screenings
A paid Amazon Prime membership is required to purchase early screening tickets. Prime currently costs $15 per month or $139 per year. Members can visit Amazon’s dedicated page to register for updates on ticket availability. Screenings will take place at select theaters across the country.
