Levi Wyatt Dies at 23 After Tragic Mississippi Crash

Former Jackson State football player Levi Wyatt has died following a two-vehicle crash in Jackson, Mississippi. He was 23.
The crash happened early Saturday morning, Aug. 1, near the intersection of North State Street and Belhaven Street, according to Mississippi Capitol Police.
Authorities responded to reports of a collision at approximately 12:14 a.m. local time. When officers arrived, they found two damaged vehicles at the scene.
Wyatt was driving a Chevrolet Camaro when the vehicle struck a nearby utility pole. Police said the driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
A passenger who was traveling in the Camaro suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash did not suffer injuries.
Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
