Fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville have another season of relationship drama, personal challenges and unexpected changes on the way.
OWN’s hit unscripted series returns Saturday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. ET/PT for its 12th season. The new season comes shortly after the show won Outstanding Unscripted Series at the African American Film Critics Association Awards.
The upcoming episodes will once again follow Huntsville’s well-known friend group as they navigate changes in their relationships, families and careers.
Love & Marriage: Huntsville Season 12 brings new challenges
The new season promises plenty of changes for the cast.
Martell Holt is entering a new chapter as he celebrates several professional and personal milestones. One of his biggest achievements is earning his builder’s license.
However, his progress could come with complications. A surprise introduction to the group threatens to change existing relationships and could put his close friendship with Destiny Payton under pressure.
Meanwhile, Marsau and LaTisha Scott are approaching their 20th wedding anniversary. The milestone should be a time for celebration, but the couple is also dealing with a major financial and emotional setback.
The pair will have to cope with the devastating loss of their first residential investment property.
Chris and Nell Fletcher face a family transition
Chris and Nell Fletcher will also enter a new chapter this season.
Nell is taking on the responsibility of becoming a full-time caregiver to her aging father. The major family change is expected to affect the couple as they adjust to their new reality.
Their storyline will explore the challenges that can come with caring for an aging parent while maintaining a marriage and managing other responsibilities.
For the Fletchers, the season will bring difficult decisions and another test of their relationship.
Maurice and Kimmi Scott navigate unexpected changes
Maurice and Kimmi Scott are also facing a different stage of family life.
As empty nesters, the couple is adjusting to changes at home while dealing with concerns surrounding Maurice’s son and his future.
Their storyline adds another layer to a season centered on family responsibilities and major life transitions.
Across the cast, the upcoming episodes will examine how relationships evolve when personal circumstances change.

According to OWN, the most recent season grew by double digits compared with the previous season across key demographic groups.

The show’s continued success has helped make Love & Marriage: Huntsville one of OWN’s signature unscripted programs.
