Kanye West has reached a settlement with former assistant Lauren Pisciotta, bringing their long-running civil legal dispute to an end.
Pisciotta filed a request to dismiss the case after the two sides reached an unconditional settlement. The financial and other terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
West has denied the allegations made against him.
Kanye West Lawsuit Ends in Settlement
Pisciotta initially sued West in June 2024. At the time, she accused the rapper of sexual harassment, wrongful termination and breach of contract related to her work with him from 2021 to 2022.
The lawsuit was later amended to include additional allegations of sexual assault and sexual battery. Pisciotta also alleged that West drugged and sexually assaulted her during a studio session that he co-hosted with Sean “Diddy” Combs before she began working for him.
West’s representatives denied the accusations and previously described the claims as baseless. They also accused Pisciotta of attempting to blackmail and extort the rapper.
Lauren Pisciotta Requests Dismissal
According to court documents, West and Pisciotta reached the settlement on July 23. A filing submitted to a Los Angeles court stated that Pisciotta would request dismissal of the lawsuit within 45 days of the settlement date.
Pisciotta’s attorney, Arick Fudali, confirmed that the dispute had been resolved.
“The matter has been resolved,” Fudali said in a statement reported by PEOPLE.
The agreement’s terms remain confidential. There has also been no public admission of wrongdoing by West as part of the settlement.
West Continues to Deny Allegations
West has consistently rejected the allegations throughout the legal proceedings.
His representatives previously argued that Pisciotta’s claims were false and questioned her reasons for filing the lawsuit. The competing allegations were never decided at trial because the civil case was resolved through settlement.
The settlement therefore closes the lawsuit without a public verdict on the allegations.
For now, the case is expected to move toward formal dismissal once Pisciotta files the required paperwork with the court.
