Nicki Minaj’s team reportedly questioned the promotional budget for her Pink Friday 2 album, calling a proposed $250,000 allowance too low for the planned campaign.
The details surfaced in an ongoing legal battle involving 24/7 Productions and Minaj. According to TMZ, evidence submitted in the case includes an alleged email from a member of Minaj’s team discussing the costs of her promotional week in New York.

The alleged email, dated Nov. 29, 2023, addressed the promotional budget provided by Republic Records.
According to TMZ, a member of Minaj’s team said the $250,000 allowance was “extremely low.” The email reportedly estimated that the promotional expenses could reach at least twice that amount.
The team member also reportedly warned that hotels and transportation could consume most of the proposed budget.
The discussion came as Minaj prepared for a week of promotional activities in New York surrounding Pink Friday 2.
Team outlines promotion expenses
The alleged correspondence also detailed several expenses connected to the promotional schedule.
According to the report, Minaj’s team discussed spending $3,000 per day on a videographer and photographer. Over six days, that would total $18,000.
The email also reportedly included a $700 daily budget for a seamstress or tailor. Over six days, that expense would reach $4,200.
Travel costs also came under discussion. A member of Minaj’s team reportedly questioned whether her son would travel with her and noted that her usual plane rider could cost more than $2,000 per leg.

Lawsuit brings budget dispute to light
The budget discussion is now part of a larger legal dispute involving 24/7 Productions.
According to TMZ, the company says it spent more than $275,000 on hotels and travel connected to Minaj’s activities but was not reimbursed.
24/7 Productions was hired to coordinate Minaj’s 2023 Jingle Ball performance and a week of Pink Friday 2 promotion in New York. The company handled areas including travel, staffing and on-site management.
The lawsuit seeks more than $275,000 in damages.
Nicki Minaj seeks dismissal
Minaj has denied personal responsibility for the alleged debt, according to TMZ. She has also asked to be dismissed from the lawsuit.
The newly reported emails are being presented as evidence by 24/7 Productions as it pursues its claims against Minaj and her company.
The budget discussion does not establish that Minaj personally approved every expense or that the allegations have been proven in court. The dispute remains an ongoing legal matter.
