A 42-year-old Florida man is facing a second-degree murder charge after investigators accused him of livestreaming a crime scene following a fatal shooting.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, authorities charged Jesus Hyacinthe with second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. The charges stem from an April 14, 2025, shooting in Pine Manor that left one man dead.
Investigators identified the victim as Hutchkins.
Deputies said Hyacinthe admitted that he fought with the victim before the shooting. Shortly afterward, authorities said he livestreamed the active crime scene on social media.
Investigators allege the livestream showed parts of the scene while Hyacinthe discussed what happened before law enforcement arrived.
Authorities say suspect later fled custody
After deputies questioned Hyacinthe, he later escaped custody, according to investigators.
However, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants Unit located and arrested him last week without incident.
Officials have not explained how Hyacinthe escaped or how long he remained at large before officers found him.
The State Attorney’s Office later approved the warrant charging him with second-degree murder.
Livestream becomes part of investigation
Authorities believe the social media broadcast could become an important part of the case.
According to investigators, the livestream captured moments after the shooting and may provide additional evidence as prosecutors prepare their case.
Law enforcement has not publicly released the video or described its full contents.
Meanwhile, officials continue reviewing the available evidence as the criminal case moves through the court system.
