Two men dressed as police officers reportedly forced their way into her hotel suite. They bound Kardashian with zip ties and tape before stealing more than $6 million worth of jewelry.
Among the stolen items was a diamond ring Kardashian had worn to the Givenchy Paris Fashion Week show that night.
The robbery became one of the most widely reported incidents of Kardashian’s career. It also had a lasting emotional impact on her.

A former receptionist at the Hôtel de Pourtalès received €109,516, or about $126,000.
The former employee said he was also traumatized by the robbery.
The different compensation amounts highlight how the court addressed individual claims connected to the case.
For Kardashian, however, the ruling represented something beyond financial compensation.
