Tyler Perry is making a major change to his real estate portfolio as he prepares to move to Puerto Rico and spend more time with his son.
The filmmaker has listed his sprawling Beverly Hills estate for $57 million. He also has his Wyoming retreat on the market for $39.5 million, putting the combined asking price of the two properties at $96.5 million.
The listings come weeks after Perry revealed that he plans to relocate to Puerto Rico and significantly reduce his workload.
Tyler Perry lists Beverly Hills estate
Perry’s Beverly Hills property sits on 22.5 acres inside the gated Beverly Ridge Estates community.
The Mediterranean-style mansion spans roughly 24,500 square feet. The home includes eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a library, a private screening room, a bar and expansive entertainment areas. It also features a swimming pool, guesthouse and staff quarters.
Perry purchased the land for $4.3 million in 2004. He later spent years developing the property, completing construction on the mansion in 2012.
The estate also has a notable Hollywood connection. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stayed at the property in 2020 after leaving their roles as senior working members of the British royal family and relocating to California.
Wyoming home adds to $96.5 million total
Perry’s Beverly Hills listing is not his only luxury property on the market.
His Jackson Hole, Wyoming, retreat is listed for $39.5 million. Together, the two properties carry a combined asking price of $96.5 million.
The move comes as Perry prepares for a different pace of life. During a September interview, he said he planned to move to Puerto Rico at the beginning of 2027 and pull back significantly from his demanding work schedule.
Perry also said he wanted to spend more time with his 11-year-old son, Aman.
Perry plans more time with his son
Perry’s decision to scale back follows decades of work across film, television and theater.
The entertainment mogul has built an extensive production business around his creative work, including Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. His studio complex remains a major part of his entertainment empire.
However, Perry recently indicated that his priorities are changing.
He has described his planned move to Puerto Rico as an opportunity to slow down, spend more time with his son and enjoy life outside his demanding professional schedule.
The latest property listings appear to fit that broader transition. While Perry has not announced that he is leaving the entertainment business entirely, selling two major residences marks a significant change in his personal real estate holdings.
For now, Perry still maintains major assets connected to his business empire. His Atlanta properties and Tyler Perry Studios remain part of his portfolio.
