OWN launches 1st Belle Collective spinoff in 2026

Jan. 16, 2026 / Business / Author: Praise Swint

The Belle Collective franchise is growing in a major way as OWN announced the network’s first-ever spinoff of the hit series alongside the return of the original show. Belle Collective: Birmingham will introduce viewers to a new group of ambitious southern women led by beauty mogul Stormi Steele, while the original Belle Collective returns for a fresh season on Friday, February 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The expansion marks a significant milestone for OWN, which has built the franchise into a Friday night powerhouse. Network president Tina Perry emphasized that Belle Collective has become a defining series for OWN since its debut, captivating audiences with authentic storytelling that celebrates the strength and brilliance of Black women in the South.

Stormi Steele leads the Birmingham expansion

The spinoff centers on Stormi Steele, the CEO and beauty mogul who became beloved by viewers during her time on Love & Marriage: Huntsville. After taking a two-year break from television to focus on scaling her multimillion-dollar empire and wildly successful brand Canvas Beauty, Stormi returns to the small screen bolder than ever. Belle Collective: Birmingham follows her journey as she connects with a circle of driven, successful southern women in Birmingham, a rising cultural hub that the group aims to transform into a thriving destination for beauty and influence.

A new cast brings fresh dynamics

Stormi navigates Birmingham’s deeply connected social and business scenes while forging alliances with fellow powerhouses. The cast includes her savvy CFO Amber Jones, entrepreneur Tiffaney Jones, marketing strategist Funmi Ford, model and marketer Synetta Hawkins, and talent manager K’La Inman. Each woman brings her own expertise and personality to the mix, creating the foundation for new relationships, potential conflicts and the collaborative energy that has made the franchise successful.

The original series returns with high-stakes drama

The original Belle Collective continues to follow southern belles Kerri Paul, Lateshia Pearson, Latrice Rogers, Marie Hamilton-Abston, Selena Johnson and Tambra Cheri through their complex lives in Jackson, Mississippi. The new season finds the women facing pivotal crossroads that test their strength, relationships and resilience. Lateshia’s marriage to Glen reaches a breaking point, leading her to make the courageous decision to prioritize herself. Marie discovers that Cedric has been unfaithful, a devastating betrayal that rocks her world.

 Personal and professional challenges collide

Latrice and Cliff celebrate as their restaurant Taste emerges as Jackson’s hottest dining destination, but their success is threatened when Latrice confronts a serious health scare. Selena’s long-awaited wedding to Mike approaches, yet plans fall behind schedule and house hunting becomes complicated by Mike’s reluctance to let go of his bachelor pad. Kerri faces financial challenges as the third location of her restaurant franchise Brick and Spoon struggles to gain traction.

 Explosive conflicts shake the group

Tensions escalate when Lateshia and Latrice’s simmering feud erupts into a massive confrontation at Selena’s 50th birthday celebration. The blowup sends shockwaves through the Collective and plunges the group into chaos, testing the bonds between women who often find themselves divided by drama yet remain united when it counts most.

The franchise has proven its value to OWN through impressive ratings performance. In its most recent season debut last October, Belle Collective dominated as Friday night’s top original series across cable with African American women ages 25 to 54. The show drove OWN to become the night’s number one cable network without news or sports in that demographic.

Kingdom Reign Entertainment produces both Belle Collective and Belle Collective: Birmingham for OWN, with Carlos King serving as executive producer on both series. The expansion demonstrates OWN’s commitment to amplifying stories about Black female entrepreneurship and the modern southern experience, spotlighting dynamic women who unapologetically carve their own paths.
