NBC has premiered its new comedy series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, marking an unexpected collaboration between Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe. The network unveiled the first official promo and key art ahead of the show’s debut, which capitalized on the massive audience that tuned in for NFL playoff coverage.
The series made its debut on Sunday, Jan. 18 at 10 p.m. ET or 7 p.m. PT, airing immediately following the playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears. This strategic positioning allowed the new comedy to capture viewers already tuned in for the football matchup.

What’s next for the series
After its special Sunday night introduction, the show takes a brief hiatus before returning Monday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. with an encore presentation of the pilot episode. A brand new episode will follow at 8:30 p.m. that same evening. For the remainder of its 10-episode first season, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will continue airing in the Monday 8:30 p.m. time slot.
Viewers who missed the broadcast have convenient streaming options, as episodes become available on Peacock the day after they air on NBC. This quick turnaround to streaming reflects the network’s commitment to meeting audiences wherever they prefer to watch.

Comedy veterans behind the camera
The creative team includes impressive credentials from the comedy world. Robert Carlock and Sam Means serve as co-creators and co-showrunners, bringing their expertise to the project. The executive producer roster features Tina Fey, whose previous collaboration with Morgan on 30 Rock created television magic for seven seasons.
Morgan himself joins as an executive producer alongside Eric Gurian and David Miner. The production represents a collaboration between several companies including Universal Television, Little Stranger Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment, Bevel Gears, Means Ends Production and Streetlife Productions Inc.

Star-studded cast assembles
Beyond the marquee names of Morgan and Radcliffe, the series features a talented ensemble. Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way and Jalyn Hall round out the main cast, each bringing their own comedic sensibilities to the project.
The guest star lineup reads like a who’s who of contemporary comedy talent. Heidi Gardner, Ronny Chieng, Anna Camp, Corbin Bernsen, Craig Robinson and Michael Kosta are among those scheduled to make appearances throughout the season. This rotating door of guest performers suggests the show aims to keep its storylines fresh and unpredictable.

Morgan returns to network television
The series marks Morgan’s return to NBC, the network where he became a household name through his memorable portrayal of Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock. That show earned critical acclaim and multiple Emmy awards during its run from 2006 to 2013. His reunion with producer Fey suggests an attempt to recapture some of that comedic chemistry.
For Radcliffe, the project represents another step in his continued evolution beyond his iconic role as Harry Potter. The British actor has deliberately chosen diverse projects in recent years, from Broadway productions to quirky independent films, demonstrating his range as a performer.
Strategic premiere positioning
NBC made promotional materials available through its Media Village platform ahead of the premiere, allowing entertainment journalists and fans to get their first substantial look at the show. The released key art and promo video offered glimpses into the show’s tone and visual style.
The decision to premiere after an NFL playoff game demonstrated NBC’s confidence in the project. Football broadcasts consistently draw some of television’s largest audiences, providing an ideal launching pad for new programming. Networks have historically used this strategy to introduce shows they believe have broad appeal and staying power.
With its combination of established stars, experienced producers and strategic scheduling, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins arrived with considerable momentum as NBC’s latest comedy offering. Fans can now catch up on the pilot through Peacock before the series returns with new episodes next month.
