Big Tigger, the former Rap City host whose real name is Darian Morgan, is facing criminal charges following an alleged assault on his wife, Alicia Brown. Footage from a Ring camera inside the couple’s home appears to show part of the incident, which Brown says took place on May 9. TMZ obtained that footage and reported on its contents.
In the video, Brown is heard asking someone nearby to take a picture. At that point, Morgan appears to approach her, grabbing her by the neck and telling her to stop. He then takes hold of her arms. A physical struggle follows, during which she calls out for him to stop. He then moves her toward a corner of the room, behind a door and out of the camera’s view. A loud sound follows, and Brown can be heard crying.
Big Tigger’s arrest and what the charges say
Morgan faced arrest on June 20 in Fulton County, Georgia. Authorities booked him on one count of aggravated battery, a felony, and one count of cruelty to children in the third degree, a misdemeanor. He posted a $10,000 bond and left jail the same day. Prosecutors have not yet issued a formal indictment.
Brown filed for a protective order on June 24, which a judge granted. In her filing, she stated the alleged assault happened in front of one of their children. She also said she suffered an eye injury during the incident and needed hospital treatment, including stitches.
The court order bars Morgan from any contact with Brown, her family or close associates. He cannot come within 200 yards of her. He may visit their shared home once, under police supervision, to collect belongings. The couple share a son, born in March 2025. Morgan may communicate with Brown through a third party only regarding the child’s care.

What Tigger said before the arrest
Earlier in June, TMZ reported that Morgan was under investigation for an assault that left Brown injured. Shortly after, Morgan addressed the situation on his radio show, saying the accusations against him were false. He has not commented publicly on the arrest or the Ring camera footage.
On June 22, Morgan posted a quote on Instagram describing life as a teacher that gives the test before the lesson. He offered no further context. His attorney has not responded to media requests.
The charges follow what authorities describe as a June 9 incident listed in pre-indictment records. It is not yet clear whether that case connects directly to the May 9 incident Brown described in her protective order filing. The investigation remains open.
