North West attended Paris Fashion Week on June 26 and immediately became one of the most talked-about names coming out of the shows. She was 13 years old. She sat front row at the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 presentation and showed up in a full Vetements ensemble that made clear she had not come to blend in.
The look paired a graphic sweatshirt with a pleated mini skirt, ripped tights and chunky platform boots from a Vetements collaboration with New Rock. Oversized silver chain detailing ran throughout the boots. A rhinestone-studded spiked collar and a matching spiked bangle finished the outfit. The overall aesthetic was entirely her own and the fashion world picked up on it quickly.
The North West look that turned heads in Paris
She also debuted bright blue hair at the Vetements show. Two new angel bite piercings on her upper lip added to a growing collection she has been building gradually since late 2025. Her first publicly noticed piercing, a dermal piece on her hand, appeared in September 2025. Since then, she has been spotted with a bridge piercing, cheek studs and several finger piercings across different appearances. Each addition has felt deliberate rather than accidental, and the Vetements show continued that pattern.
The Paris appearance came less than two weeks after North turned 13 on June 15. Kim Kardashian marked the birthday on social media with a set of photographs spanning childhood and the present, acknowledging watching her eldest child move into teenage years.
Music and fashion arriving at the same time
Fashion is not the only space where North is making moves. Earlier in June, she performed solo for the first time at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash 2026 festival in Bridgeview, Illinois. Around her birthday, she also announced the Molly x North Kimokawaii Tour, a co-headlining run with rapper and singer Molly Santana that marks her first official touring experience.
Both announcements followed the May release of her debut EP, N0rth4Evr, which introduced her music to an audience well beyond her family’s existing reach. A debut record, a solo festival set, a tour announcement and a Paris Fashion Week appearance all landed within the same month.
What North West is building on her own terms
North grew up inside one of the most visible families in the world. Her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, have each shaped fashion and culture in significant ways. What is becoming increasingly clear is that North is not simply leaning on that foundation. She is building something alongside it and slightly apart from it.
The consistency of her aesthetic choices makes that argument stronger. The layered accessories, the rotating hair colors, the willingness to take risks in front of large audiences, all of it points to someone with a real point of view rather than someone wearing what a stylist selected. At 13, she is moving fast and doing it on her own terms.
