Lifetime has unveiled the first trailer for Girl in the Coffin, a suspenseful thriller inspired by real events. The film stars Tahirah Sharif and Robert James-Collier.
The network will premiere the movie on Saturday, July 25, at 8/7c.
Tahirah Sharif Plays a Woman Fighting for Survival
Sharif stars as Jasmine, a woman struggling to cope after the death of her mother. While trying to rebuild her life, she finds comfort in Bill, the funeral director who handled her mother’s service.
At first, Bill appears caring and supportive. However, Jasmine soon discovers that his kindness hides a dangerous obsession.
Bill becomes convinced they are meant to be together. His fixation takes a terrifying turn when Jasmine suddenly disappears.
She later wakes up trapped inside a coffin beneath Bill’s funeral home. With no easy escape, Jasmine must rely on her courage and instincts to survive.
Robert James-Collier Takes on a Dark New Role
Robert James-Collier portrays Bill, the funeral director whose obsession drives the story.
The actor is best known for playing Thomas Barrow in the acclaimed series Downton Abbey. In Girl in the Coffin, he steps into a much darker role.
Meanwhile, Sharif continues to build her career after earning recognition for her performance in Fightland.
