Brandy was in her brother Ray J’s corner Saturday night, but she already knows how she feels about his boxing future.
Ray J defeated Orlando Brown by decision after three rounds at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The celebrity bout took place on the undercard of Claressa Shields’ fight against Kaye Scott.
After the fight, Brandy celebrated her brother’s victory. However, she had a very different response when someone asked if she wanted to see him fight again.
Brandy Reacts to Ray J’s Victory
Brandy did not hold back when asked about Ray J’s performance.
“I’m so proud. I mean, he did really good,” she said in an interview captured by FightHype.
Ray J got off to a strong start in the opening round. He was credited with a knockdown after Brown’s glove touched the canvas. He also appeared to land the cleaner punches during the early exchanges.
Brown came back with more pressure in the second round. He threw aggressively and pushed Ray J into several exchanges.
The third round slowed down considerably. Some fans even booed as the action became less frequent.
Despite the quieter finish, Ray J ultimately earned the decision victory.
Brandy Does Not Want Ray J to Fight Again
Brandy’s reaction changed when the conversation turned to Ray J’s future in boxing.
After praising her brother’s performance, she was asked whether she wanted to see him return to the ring.
Her answer was simple.
“No.”
The quick response made Brandy’s position clear. She was happy to see Ray J win, but she does not appear eager to watch him take another fight.
For Brandy, supporting her brother and wanting him to continue boxing are two different things.
Ray J’s Boxing Future Remains Unclear
Ray J has now added a win over Orlando Brown to his growing list of entertainment ventures. Whether that victory leads to another boxing match remains unknown.
His latest fight also gave him a chance to compete in front of a large Atlanta crowd. The event blended celebrity entertainment with professional boxing and featured Shields in the main event.
For now, Ray J can celebrate his victory.
Brandy, meanwhile, has already made her feelings known about another fight. She was proud of her brother’s performance, but when it comes to seeing him box again, she would rather sit that one out.
