Robin Roberts and Sherri Shepherd are bringing a remarkable 9/11 survival story to television. The pair teamed up to tell the story of Genelle Guzman, the last survivor pulled alive from the wreckage of the World Trade Center.
Their new film, Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story, premieres Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
The film focuses on Guzman’s extraordinary survival after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Her story remains one of the most remarkable accounts to emerge from the tragedy.

Guzman worked in the World Trade Center when the attacks happened. After the towers collapsed, she became trapped beneath the massive pile of debris.
Rescuers eventually found Guzman alive. She spent more than 27 hours beneath the wreckage before firefighters pulled her to safety.
As a result, Guzman became known as the last survivor rescued from the World Trade Center site.
Now, Angel in the Rubble revisits that experience and the events surrounding her rescue. The film also gives viewers a closer look at the woman behind one of the most powerful survival stories from 9/11.
