A$AP Rocky says he has no interest in continuing his long-running feud with Drake. During a recent appearance on The Jason Lee Show, the rapper addressed Drake’s latest lyrical jab and explained why he refuses to respond.
The comments come after Drake appeared to take another shot at Rocky on his song “Burning Bridges.” In the track, Drake questioned why Rihanna did not promote Rocky’s latest album, Don’t Be Dumb.
A$AP Rocky Calls Drake’s Diss ‘Stupid’
When Jason Lee asked whether he would ever step into a celebrity boxing match with Drake, Rocky quickly dismissed the idea.
Instead, he joked that he would rather avoid the celebrity boxing trend altogether. He made it clear that he has no interest in turning their disagreement into a public spectacle.
Rocky also addressed Drake’s lyric asking, “Where she at?” in reference to Rihanna not promoting his music.
He said the criticism made no sense.
According to Rocky, if Rihanna had promoted the album before its release, critics would have claimed his success only came because of her support.
He explained that Rihanna eventually shared the album after it reached No. 1, adding that she was never featured on the project or expected to promote a specific single.
A$AP Rocky Says He Has Moved On
Rocky said he believes many people have already moved on from the feud, even if the internet continues to revisit it.
He added that he sees through what he described as online antics and smear campaigns. Because of that, he chooses not to respond publicly.
The rapper suggested that continuing the back-and-forth serves little purpose and prefers to focus on his career and family instead.
Rocky Says the Rift Began After Dating Rihanna
Earlier this year, Rocky discussed the breakdown of his friendship with Drake during an interview with Akademiks.
He said he once considered Drake a close friend. They toured together early in his career and shared a positive relationship.
However, Rocky believes things changed after he began dating Rihanna around 2020.
According to him, Drake started sending subtle lyrical shots after the relationship became public. Rocky said the comments seemed to come “out of nowhere.”
Rocky Opens Up About Rihanna and Family
Beyond the feud, Rocky also shared lighter moments during the interview.
He reacted to never-before-seen footage of his daughter crawling for the first time. He also praised Rihanna for supporting him throughout their relationship.
Rocky described Rihanna as someone who has always stood by him, both as a close friend and as his partner.
While fans continue to speculate about the tension between the two rappers, Rocky’s latest comments suggest he has little interest in keeping the rivalry alive.
