The Nevis Mango Festival 2026 record attendance marked a major achievement for the Caribbean celebration, with more than 5,200 guests gathering for the signature For the Love of Mangoes event.
The turnout represented the festival’s largest single-event crowd since it began in 2014. Attendance increased from 4,100 visitors in 2025, creating nearly 27 percent growth year over year.
The four-day festival, held from July 2 to July 5, welcomed guests across several locations, including Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park, Four Seasons Resort Nevis, Pinney’s Beach, and local food destinations throughout the island.
What started as a seasonal tourism event has grown into one of the Caribbean’s most recognized culinary celebrations. The festival combines local agriculture, international chefs, and Nevis’ unique culture to create an experience that attracts visitors from around the world.
Chef Eric Adjepong served as the festival’s headline chef for 2026, bringing his West African culinary influences and television experience to the island’s biggest food event.
Adjepong is a first-generation Ghanaian American chef, author, and television personality. He gained national recognition as a finalist on Top Chef Season 16 and later appeared on Top Chef All-Stars, Wildcard Kitchen, and Alex vs. America. His Washington, D.C., restaurant Elmina also earned a Michelin recommendation.
His appearance helped increase the festival’s national visibility while highlighting the connection between Caribbean ingredients and global culinary traditions.

Inside the four-day Nevis Mango Festival 2026 celebration
The festival officially opened on July 2 with a press conference at Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park. The event featured Premier of Nevis Hon. Mark Brantley, Chef Adjepong, Nevis Tourism Authority CEO Andia Ravariere, and NTA Director of Marketing Pheon Jones.
The opening day also introduced Shop Nevis Naturally, the island’s first official online store featuring locally inspired products.
Later that evening, Adjepong hosted the festival’s Supper Club at Four Seasons Resort Nevis. The waterfront dining experience featured a three-course menu centered around mango, allowing guests to enjoy the island’s signature fruit in creative new ways.
The dinner included Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with coconut gazpacho, mango, passion fruit, and peri-peri oil. Guests also enjoyed braised short ribs with tamarind demi-glace, sweet potato purée, crispy plantain, and mango-papaya salad.
The evening ended with a Mango Crèmeux dessert featuring mango pavlova, hazelnut crumble, and sorrel sorbet. Live Caribbean music added to the atmosphere, creating a celebration that blended fine dining with island culture.
The following day moved to CHASKA Indian Cuisine and Bar in Cades Bay for a cooking masterclass with Adjepong. Guests participated in hands-on cooking sessions before enjoying Mango Mania, which included a mango eating contest, a mixology competition, and the popular Mango Tug-of-War.
The night continued with the Pinney’s Beach Bar Crawl, featuring eight beachfront locations, including Sunshine’s Bar and Grill and Turtle Time Beach Bar.
On July 4, visitors explored the Passport Food Tour, where they sampled mango-inspired dishes and drinks throughout the island. Guests could join a guided party bus experience or explore participating locations at their own pace.

For the Love of Mangoes delivers record-breaking finale
The festival reached its peak on July 5 with For the Love of Mangoes at Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park. The closing celebration attracted more than 5,200 guests, making it the largest crowd in the event’s history.
The final day featured a cooking competition, a Kids Zone with face painting and a Mango Hunt, and the Mango Festival Concert under the stars.
Premier Brantley described the event as a reflection of Nevis’ identity, highlighting the island’s culture, hospitality, and community spirit. He said visitors leave with a deeper connection to the people and traditions of Nevis.
Ravariere also praised the 2026 festival, saying it represented the best of Nevis through authentic experiences, culinary talent, and community involvement.
The Nevis Tourism Authority confirmed that the 2027 Nevis Mango Festival will take place from July 1 to July 4, giving future visitors an opportunity to plan ahead.

Why Nevis mangoes make the festival unforgettable
One of the festival’s biggest attractions is Nevis’ rare mango collection. The island is home to more than 44 varieties of mango, and many of them are not exported. Visitors must travel to Nevis to experience these unique flavors.
That connection between local agriculture and tourism gives the festival an identity that cannot easily be replicated elsewhere. The event allows travelers to experience the island through food, culture, and community.
Nevis has also become known for offering a quieter Caribbean experience. The island covers approximately 36 square miles and does not have cruise ports, high-rise developments, or fast-food chains.
Instead, visitors find historic landmarks, natural beauty, and locally owned businesses. Nevis is also known as the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton and the location of Admiral Horatio Nelson’s 18th-century marriage.
Luxury accommodations such as Four Seasons Resort Nevis attract travelers seeking premium experiences, while smaller boutique properties provide additional options for visitors.
The success of the Nevis Mango Festival 2026 record attendance shows how culinary tourism continues to shape the island’s future. With rare mango varieties, internationally recognized chefs, and strong community support, the festival has become a defining celebration of Nevis’ culture and creativity.
