Beyoncé knows how to command attention, even when she is not the one performing. Her latest appearance at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, has sparked a fashion debate that continues to divide fans. However, the conversation surrounding her outfit may be missing an important detail.
The singer attended her husband Jay-Z’s Los Angeles show on the Jay-Z 30 Tour, which celebrates three decades of his music career. She arrived alongside former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, her mother Tina Knowles, and daughter Blue Ivy.
Soon after, stylist Ty Hunter shared photos of the group online. Beyoncé’s outfit quickly became one of the evening’s biggest talking points.
Beyoncé brings Roberto Cavalli fringe to SoFi
The singer wore a look from Fausto Puglisi’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection for Roberto Cavalli. The collection has yet to reach stores, making the appearance an early look at the designer’s upcoming work.
Her outfit featured a silk satin blouse with a colorful orchid print. Pink, green, yellow and off-white shades gave the top a tropical feel. Meanwhile, feathered fringe along the neckline and cuffs added movement.
She paired the blouse with an emerald green tulle skirt covered in beaded and sequined fringe. The sheer design featured a dramatic high slit.
Beyoncé completed the look with a Messika high jewelry collar centered on a 10.74-carat spinel. Henry & Henry chandelier earrings, black Krewe sunglasses and leopard-print pointed pumps added more detail. Her honey-toned waves and gold eye glitter finished the appearance.
The details behind Beyoncé’s fashion debate
Although some fans questioned the combination of colors, prints and textures, others focused on the photographs. Several online reactions raised concerns about possible image editing, particularly around the singer’s neck.
The discussion also revived speculation about cosmetic procedures and weight loss medication. However, Beyoncé has not confirmed those claims, and they remain unverified. The fashion itself offers a more useful point of discussion.
The outfit appears to follow a floral theme. The orchid blouse represents the bloom, while the green skirt creates the impression of a stem and leaves. Together, the pieces form a botanical design.
More importantly, the fringe was made to move. Reports from the evening describe Jay-Z twirling his wife by the hand backstage. As she turned, the beaded details spread outward and brought the skirt to life.
That movement changes how the outfit reads. In photographs, the fringe can appear heavy and crowded. In motion, however, it creates a different effect.
Still, the leopard-print pumps offer a fair point of criticism. A simpler green or nude heel might have allowed the rest of the outfit to stand out. Yet Cavalli’s bold styling often depends on unexpected combinations.
Blue Ivy gives the family another memorable moment
Beyond the fashion conversation, the evening also delivered a special family moment. Blue Ivy, 14, played piano for her father during performances of The Story of O.J. and Dead Presidents. Beyoncé watched proudly from backstage.
The appearance marked the family’s first joint public outing since Jay-Z’s opening show at Yankee Stadium on July 10, according to reports. During that performance, Beyoncé joined her husband for Can’t Knock the Hustle, while Blue Ivy played piano on Feelin’ It.
Beyoncé’s SoFi appearance may continue to divide fashion fans. Nevertheless, the evening offered more than another celebrity style debate. Between the runway-inspired look and Blue Ivy’s musical moment, the Carter family gave fans plenty to discuss.
