OWN’s August 2026 lineup blends returning reality favorites, emotional reckonings and a run of classic film nights. Together, these give viewers a full month of programming across multiple genres.
Belle Collective returns Fridays at 8 p.m. ET and PT. The show brings back Kerri Paul, Lateshia Pearson, Latrice Rogers, Marie Hamilton-Abston, Selena Johnson and Tambra Cheri. They continue balancing ambition, family and friendship in Jackson, Mississippi. The season kicks off August 7 with a reunion episode. That episode promises fresh tension among the group.
How OWN’s returning dramas evolve this season
Heart & Hustle: Houston enters its second season Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET and PT. The show picks up after a major fallout that split the group into opposing factions. Chloe Cooke, La’Torria Lemon, LeBrina Jackson, Muneera Page, Roe Grady-Pichardo and Alaina Saulsberry continue building their businesses. At the same time, they navigate the personal fallout from that split, all against the demands of one of the country’s most competitive cities.
Put a Ring on It: Cheat Rehab also returns Fridays. It airs at 9 p.m. for its August 7 premiere before shifting to its regular 8 p.m. slot. The series follows couples testing their relationships by dating other people. Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson guides them through the process. This season brings a run of especially tense episodes. Those include the women confronting the people they cheated with, partners facing former flames directly, and a rooftop mixer that tests every couple’s patience.
Iyanla brings new depth to familiar stories
Iyanla: Fix My Life returns Saturdays at 8 p.m. with three new episodes throughout August. The first airs August 15 and revisits the story of a woman named Dominique. This time, the lens is grandparents raising grandchildren and generational pain. A later episode revisits lottery winner Marie. It explores how genuine wealth stems from spiritual healing rather than financial gain. The final episode of the run looks back at a past case involving cosmetic surgery. It examines how physical changes often fail to address deeper emotional wounds.
A month of classic films rounds out the schedule
OWN also dedicates every Thursday night in August to beloved films from the network’s movie library. Waiting to Exhale stars Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett and Loretta Devine. It airs August 13 and follows four women navigating complicated relationships. Menace II Society stars Tyrin Turner and Larenz Tate. It airs August 20 and follows a young man attempting to escape a difficult environment in search of a better future. The month closes with Lean on Me on August 27. Morgan Freeman stars as a demanding but determined school principal working to transform a struggling inner-city school.
Together, the lineup gives OWN viewers a mix of ongoing reality drama, personal growth storytelling and classic cinema throughout the entire month.
