More than $300,000 worth of luxury items was stolen from the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver’s Texas home in July.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had his Texas home burglarized while he was away at training camp in California.
The 27-year-old NFL star’s home was broken into on July 30, with more than $300,000 worth of property reported stolen, according to Fairview Police Department records obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
CeeDee Lamb Had Luxury Bags Stolen
According to the police report, the burglar stole four luxury bags from Lamb’s home.
Investigators believe the person entered the property through a broken window. Someone working on a renovation project on the northeast side of the property noticed the damage the following day and contacted police.
Authorities have not publicly identified a suspect in connection with the burglary.
The investigation remains ongoing. The Fairview Police Department also did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Lamb was away from his home at the time because the Cowboys were attending training camp in California.
Professional Athletes Continue to Face Home Burglaries
The burglary adds Lamb to a growing list of professional athletes whose homes have been targeted in recent years.
Other athletes who have reported home burglaries include Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, Luka Dončić and Juan Martín del Potro. Stolen items in those cases have included jewelry, watches, handbags and sports memorabilia.
Lamb is also not the first Cowboys player to experience a home burglary. In November 2024, former Dallas defensive tackle Linval Joseph had his Minnesota home burglarized during his first season with the team.
The FBI previously warned professional sports leagues about organized theft groups targeting athletes’ homes.
In December 2024, the agency warned that criminals may target professional athletes because they believe the players have expensive items such as designer handbags, jewelry, watches and cash.
FBI Warned About Organized Theft Groups
According to an FBI report obtained by ABC News, organized theft groups linked to South America had targeted the homes of at least nine professional athletes between September and November 2024.
The groups allegedly used publicly available information and social media posts to determine when athletes would be away from home.
The FBI also warned that some groups could use sophisticated methods to bypass security systems and conceal their identities.
In May, authorities announced arrests connected to some of the burglaries targeting professional athletes.
Lamb’s case remains under investigation, and police have not announced any arrests or publicly named a suspect.
The Dallas Cowboys star has not publicly commented on the reported burglary.
