The Roast of Kevin Hart lands on Netflix on Sunday, May 10, 2026. After years of selling out arenas and building one of the most recognizable brands in comedy, Hart finally takes the seat on the other side of the mic. The event takes place at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and promises a night of sharp, no-holds-barred comedy aimed squarely at the man himself.
Shane Gillis serves as Roastmaster and host for the evening. Beyond that, Netflix has kept the full lineup under wraps. Still, the confirmed combination of Hart and Gillis alone makes this one of the more anticipated comedy events of the year.

Who could show up to roast Hart?
Netflix has confirmed Hart and Gillis but has stayed quiet on the rest of the roster. That said, a few names feel like near-certainties based on past roast traditions and Hart’s own personal circle.
Jeff Ross tops that list. Known widely as the Roastmaster General, Ross has appeared at nearly every major roast in recent memory. His presence would surprise no one. Dwayne Johnson also feels like a lock. He and Hart share one of the most well-documented friendships in Hollywood, built across multiple film collaborations and years of playful public banter. If Johnson shows up, expect the jokes to cut both ways.
Comedy veterans Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle could deliver some of the night’s most pointed material. Both bring serious credibility to any stage they walk onto. On the athlete and music side, Shaquille O’Neal, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Nick Cannon all make sense given their overlapping worlds with Hart.
Pete Davidson, Andrew Schulz and Bryan Cranston round out a realistic wish list for many fans. Meanwhile, there is significant enthusiasm online around a potential appearance from Nikki Glaser. Her performance during the Tom Brady roast drew widespread praise and went viral almost immediately. A second crack at Hart would likely generate similar buzz.
What to expect from the night
Jokes about Hart’s height are a given. Beyond that, the roast format opens the door to his career choices, public controversies and personal life. Roasts thrive on going places that polished talk show interviews never do. Hart, to his credit, has never shied away from laughing at himself. That self-awareness should make the evening all the more entertaining.
The Roast of Kevin Hart streams exclusively on Netflix starting May 10, 2026.
