Tampa Bay Rays 3, opponent 1  Yandi Diaz homered twice including a first-pitch blast and Marcelo Mayer also went deep as the Rays cruised to a comfortable victory

Seattle Mariners over opponent in Game 1  Josh Naylor’s grand slam gave Seattle a 5-1 lead and Andres Munoz locked down the ninth inning to give the Mariners the win

San Diego Padres 6, opponent 2  Gavin Sheets delivered an RBI double to tie the game and the Padres pulled away with a five-run inning in the middle frames

Houston Astros over Los Angeles Angels in 10 innings  the Astros trailed going into the ninth but Jose Altuve forced an error that broke the tie and Houston won it in extra inningsWashington Nationals 4, San Francisco Giants 3  Logan Webb pitched eight strong innings but the Nationals rallied with three runs in the ninth including an Ildemaro Vargas hit that proved decisive

The Las Vegas opener was everything baseball promised it would be

The MLB highlights June 8 2026 compilation gives the Vegas game its own extended treatment because the evening genuinely deserved it. The A’s and Brewers put on one of the wildest shows in recent regular season memory. Multiple players hit multiple home runs in the same game. Moreover, the lead changed hands several times in the final three innings alone. Furthermore, the pool in left-center field at the new Las Vegas ballpark became a recurring part of the broadcast as multiple home runs either cleared or nearly reached the water feature.

The Brewers ultimately won because of execution in the small moments. Yelich read a wild pitch perfectly in the 15th at-bat of a 12-inning game and scored standing up to put Milwaukee ahead for good. Moreover, Chad Patrick recorded the final outs to preserve one of the most improbable road wins on the young season. Consequently, the A’s lost their home opener in heartbreaking fashion but gave their new fanbase a night that showed exactly why baseball in Las Vegas was worth building.

Josh Naylor and Christopher Sanchez stood out on Sunday

Beyond the Las Vegas spectacle, two individual performances defined the MLB highlights June 8 2026 compilation. Josh Naylor hit a grand slam on the first pitch he saw in a key moment to give Seattle a commanding lead and set the tone for the Mariners’ series-opening victory.
