The next Super Bowl halftime show is already becoming one of the biggest entertainment conversations of the new NFL season.
Super Bowl LXI will take place on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. While the NFL has not announced the halftime performer, several major artists have entered the conversation.
Recent reports and market speculation have mentioned Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles. The Breakfast Club also recently debated which artist could make the biggest impact on the Super Bowl stage.
Here are five names currently generating attention.
Jay-Z has a major case for the stage
Jay-Z remains one of the most talked-about possibilities for the next Super Bowl halftime show.
His connection to the event makes the speculation especially notable. Roc Nation has worked with the NFL on the halftime show since 2019, helping shape the musical direction of the performance.
Jay-Z has also returned to the spotlight with major live performances in 2026. His three-night Yankee Stadium run included appearances from artists such as Beyoncé, Nas and Alicia Keys.
The timing has also fueled fan discussion. His recent performances have celebrated major moments from his career, giving fans plenty of material to imagine a career-spanning Super Bowl set.
Justin Bieber could bring pop power
Justin Bieber is another major name in the conversation.
TMZ reported that Bieber and Harry Styles were among the artists on Roc Nation’s reported wish list for the 2027 show. However, the report also noted that neither artist had been formally approached at the time.
Bieber has plenty of material for a stadium-sized performance. His catalog includes pop hits from multiple stages of his career, giving him the option to create a set that appeals to longtime fans and younger audiences.
He also performed during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show, giving him recent experience on a massive international stage.
Miley Cyrus is another major contender
Miley Cyrus has also remained part of the conversation surrounding the next Super Bowl halftime show.
Early 2027 prediction markets placed Cyrus among the leading names being discussed. Recent market figures have continued to show her near the top of the board alongside Jay-Z and Bieber.
Cyrus could also build a set around songs from different periods of her career. That would allow her to move from her Disney-era beginnings into her pop, rock and country-influenced work.
Her broad catalog could make a Super Bowl performance especially flexible.
Harry Styles brings global appeal
Harry Styles has also emerged as a prominent name in recent reports.
According to TMZ, Styles was among the artists reportedly considered for the 2027 halftime show. Other reporting has noted that his touring schedule could factor into whether he becomes available for the February event.
Styles also has experience performing for massive audiences. His solo career, One Direction catalog and extensive touring history give him several eras of music to draw from.
A Styles-led performance could also give the halftime show a distinctly pop-focused direction.
Could the show become a bigger collaboration?
The Breakfast Club discussion raised another possibility: a halftime show built around multiple artists rather than one headliner.
That approach could open the door for a larger hip-hop and R&B celebration. Jay-Z, for example, has a long list of collaborators who could potentially appear during a career-spanning performance.
A possible lineup featuring artists connected to Roc Nation or Jay-Z’s catalog would also give the performance room for surprise appearances.
Still, there is no confirmation that such a format is being planned.
