Former NFL player Stedman Bailey has been arrested after police alleged he engaged in sexual activity inside a Florida arcade and entertainment venue.
Bailey, 35, was arrested on July 27 and charged with one misdemeanor count of exposure of sexual organs, according to an arrest report from the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
A woman identified by police as Karina Manderson was also arrested in connection with the incident.
According to the arrest report, the alleged incident happened inside the Round1 arcade at Pembroke Lakes Mall in Florida.
Police said Bailey and Manderson had already been detained by the time officers arrived at the location.
Investigators said surveillance footage from the venue appeared to show the pair engaged in sexual activity while other customers were nearby.
A witness reportedly told police that she saw the alleged incident and asked the pair to stop.
According to the report, Bailey then pulled up his pants before he and Manderson walked away from the area.
The witness later provided a sworn statement and signed an affidavit, according to the arrest report.
Police said Bailey told investigators that he and Manderson had lowered their pants but denied that intercourse occurred.
The former NFL player reportedly said alcohol played a role in his actions.
According to police, Bailey stated that he and Manderson did not drink before arriving at Round1. He said they consumed alcohol served at the venue and estimated they each had about two to three shots.
Police also arrested Manderson, who investigators said told them she did not remember the incident.
According to the report, she acknowledged consuming too much alcohol.
Authorities said they found no evidence that the drinks had been tampered with.
The investigation remains connected to the allegations outlined in the police report.
Bailey previously played wide receiver for the St. Louis Rams after being selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
His football career was cut short in 2015 after he suffered life-threatening injuries during a shooting in Florida.
Bailey survived the attack but never returned to the NFL.
He later focused on life outside professional football.
Bailey’s arrest comes more than a decade after his NFL career ended.
The former player has not publicly commented on the allegations.
The case remains pending as legal proceedings continue.
