NCIS: New York has its full core cast. CBS announced four new additions this week for the upcoming spinoff, which premieres September 22. Jennifer Beals leads the new announcements, joining previously confirmed stars LL Cool J and Scott Caan.
Beals, 62, takes the role of Assistant Special Agent in Charge Robyn Wells, the director of the NCIS New York field office. She oversees both LL Cool J’s character Sam Hanna and Caan’s character Nick Schaeffer. Robyn leads with instinct and carries deep respect from the people around her. Beals is best known for playing Alexandra Owens in Flashdance and Bette Porter in The L Word.
The three agents rounding out the NCIS New York team
CBS also confirmed three series regulars who will fill out Sam and Nick’s team. Jacqueline Byers, 36, plays NCIS Special Agent Addison Ross, known as Addy, a driven and resourceful agent with something to prove. Byers previously appeared in the CBS drama Salvation.
Shane Harper, 33, plays Wyatt Hill, a skilled agent who also happens to be a committed romantic. Harper is best known for playing Spencer on the Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie.
Devin Druid, 28, rounds out the group as Sean Sullivan, an agent with sharp instincts and a resistance to authority. Druid is recognized for his portrayal of Tyler Down in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

What NCIS New York is about and where it fits
The spinoff brings Sam Hanna back to his hometown of New York City. He teams up with Nick Schaeffer, a roguish new partner, to lead a team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents. LL Cool J played Sam across all 14 seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles, which ran from 2009 to 2023. The character carries history into the new setting.
Sam’s return to New York is more than a location change. The show frames the city itself as a force that shapes who he becomes within the new environment. The same character fans followed for years now operates inside a different kind of energy. The flagship NCIS series, which started in 2003, heads into its 24th season this fall alongside the new spinoff.
NCIS: New York premieres September 22 on CBS. Both NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles are currently available to stream on Paramount+.
