Netflix’s July 2026 lineup is one of the streamer’s stronger months in recent memory. Original films, returning series, a long-awaited farewell and a wave of classic titles all land across the month. Here is everything worth knowing before you hit play.
The Netflix originals leading July 2026
Enola Holmes 3 arrived July 1 and brings Millie Bobby Brown back as the sharp-minded younger sister of Sherlock Holmes. This time, her wedding to Lord Tewkesbury faces a serious threat when Sherlock disappears. Henry Cavill returns as Sherlock, with Helena Bonham Carter as the Holmes matriarch and Himesh Patel as Dr. Watson. The third installment picks up the franchise’s momentum and gives the series a strong new chapter.
Little House on the Prairie launched July 9 as a full Netflix reboot of the beloved classic. Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s novels and the original 1974 television series, this version follows the Ingalls family through pioneer life in the 1800s. Netflix renewed it for a second season before the first episode even aired, signaling genuine confidence in the show’s future.
The Hawk arrives July 16 with Will Ferrell playing Lonnie The Hawk Hawkins, a former pro golfer chasing one last major title to complete a Grand Slam. The ensemble supporting him includes Molly Shannon, Chris Parnell, Luke Wilson, Fortune Feimster and Jimmy Tatro. Ferrell has built a track record in sports comedy and this project fits squarely in that lane.
Heartstopper Forever hits Netflix July 17 and serves as the final chapter in the beloved British series. Rather than a traditional season, this farewell comes in feature-length film form. Kit Connor and Joe Locke return as Nick and Charlie for one final story adapted from Alice Oseman’s graphic novel. Most of the main cast returns, though Olivia Colman will not appear in the film.
Ransom Canyon season 2 closes out the month’s major originals on July 23. Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly lead the Western drama based on Jodi Thomas’s novels. The second season brings more of the heated romance and emotional storytelling that drew audiences to the first.

Several standout films joined the library on July 1. Michael Mann’s Ali, with Will Smith, and Oliver Stone’s Born on the Fourth of July, starring Tom Cruise, are both strong additions. The entire Hunger Games franchise, including The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, lands July 14. Fargo, Gone Girl, Moneyball, Nomadland and Queen and Slim also join the library throughout the month.
