The Antigua Carnival 2026 activation arrived in Miami on May 16 during the fourth annual Food, Wine and Fete at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority partnered with the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission to create the immersive experience.
More than 1,500 guests attended the celebration. They enjoyed Caribbean food, music and culture throughout the evening.
The activation embraced Antigua Carnival’s 2026 theme, “Feel the Rhythm.” That theme promoted the festival, which runs from July 25 to Aug. 4 in St. John’s, Antigua.
Carnival dancers, branded bars and custom drinkware kept visitors engaged. As a result, many guests shared photos and videos across social media. The destination became one of the night’s biggest attractions.
Dean Fenton, U.S. Director of Tourism for the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, said events like Food, Wine and Fete help the destination connect with people who already appreciate Caribbean culture.
He also emphasized the importance of the Caribbean diaspora, especially in South Florida. According to Fenton, the event allowed Antigua and Barbuda to showcase much more than its beaches.

Antigua and Barbuda created an immersive island experience
The activation featured several attractions that brought the island to life.
At the center stood a fully branded destination bar serving English Harbour Rum, Antigua’s signature premium rum.
Guests sampled the event’s signature cocktail, the Harbour Bliss. Bartenders prepared it with English Harbour 5-Year Rum, passionfruit, coconut water, fresh lime juice, orange bitters and nutmeg.
Meanwhile, Carnival dancers entertained visitors throughout the evening. Their performances kept energy high and encouraged guests to gather around the activation.
The destination also sponsored the festival’s popular Carnival Wings photo installation. Guests lined up to take pictures throughout the night.
In addition, dancers from the Festivals Commission wore costumes designed by Sechuns-The Band. Their colorful outfits highlighted the creativity of Antigua Carnival.
The destination also sponsored the official festival drinkware. VIP guests received gold goblets, while general attendees received pink stainless-steel cups featuring Antigua and Barbuda branding.
As a result, the destination appeared in thousands of event photos shared online.

Drone show capped the celebration
The evening ended with a drone show presented by LunaLite Drone Show.
Hundreds of illuminated drones formed the Antigua and Barbuda flag and destination logo above the Miami skyline.
The display impressed the crowd. Soon afterward, videos spread across social media and extended the activation’s reach far beyond the event.
The tourism board also launched a social media giveaway.
One lucky winner will receive a trip for two to Antigua Carnival 2026. The promotion encouraged guests to follow the destination online and share event content with friends.
Together, the giveaway, drone show and branded souvenirs generated strong online engagement.

Antigua Carnival 2026 promises 12 days of celebration
Antigua Carnival runs from July 25 through Aug. 4 in St. John’s.
Visitors can experience colorful masquerade parades, J’ouvert celebrations, steelpan performances, calypso and soca competitions, concerts and lively street parties.
Popular events include the pre-dawn J’ouvert, Carnival Monday, the Parade of the Bands on Carnival Tuesday and the national Panorama steelband competition.
Because the festival attracts visitors from around the world, organizers encourage travelers to book flights, hotels and costume bands early.

Antigua offers more than Carnival
Antigua and Barbuda features 365 pink and white sand beaches, luxury resorts and cultural experiences throughout the year.
Visitors can also explore Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the country’s most famous attractions.
The islands’ warm climate and convenient location make them an easy getaway for travelers from the United States.
Therefore, the Miami activation promoted more than Carnival. It also introduced South Florida audiences to everything Antigua and Barbuda has to offer year-round.
