The 25th Tribeca Festival announces its full Storytelling Summit, Creators Market and Works in Progress lineup, bringing together filmmakers, financiers and emerging voices across every medium
Tribeca Festival 2026 industry programming is now fully revealed, and the scope is significant. The 25th edition of the festival, presented by OKX, announced its complete professional slate on Tuesday, May 5. Specifically, the programming spans three major pillars: the Storytelling Summit, the 10th annual Creators Market and the Works in Progress Showcase. Together, they run from June 4 through June 13 at Spring Studios in New York City.
Tribeca Festival 2026 industry programming: the Storytelling Summit
The Storytelling Summit anchors the festival’s professional offerings and runs the full duration of the event. It is designed, above all, as an accessible entry point for creators at every stage. Attendance is low-cost and open to industry professionals, emerging filmmakers and curious audiences alike. In addition, the Summit includes a dedicated on-site lounge for networking. Moreover, conversations, case studies and live events fill the schedule, all built around the realities of making and sustaining creative work today.
The Luminaries series, in particular, brings in some of the most recognized voices in film and television. Featured guests include 1. Rebecca Miller in conversation with Josh Safdie, 2. Zach Woods, 3. Zach Braff, 4. Myha’la, 5. Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater, 6. Philip Barantini, 7. Ron Perlman and Willie Morris, 8. Dan Houser, 9. Michael Sarnoski and 10. Ted Hope. Each session, furthermore, offers direct insight into navigating careers across independent and studio systems.
Three tracks shape the Summit’s core conversations
The Creativity Unbound track dives into the craft of storytelling across formats. For instance, sessions cover casting, animation, late-night writing and situational comedy. Participants include legendary casting directors Ellen Lewis and Ellen Chenoweth. Additionally, Late Night with Seth Meyers writers Amber Ruffin, Alex Baze and Sal Gentile join the lineup. Comedy showrunners Dan Goor and Tracey Wigfield the creative forces behind Brooklyn Nine-Nine and 30 Rock respectively also round out that track.
The Inside the Industry track, meanwhile, tackles the business side of filmmaking. Specifically, topics include financing, distribution, exhibition and short-form storytelling. Speakers include Tim League of Alamo Drafthouse, Tabitha Jackson of Film Forum and John Vanco of Netflix. Furthermore, Commissioner Rafael Espinal of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment also participates.
The Next Wave track, by contrast, looks ahead to AI, immersive media and an expanding content landscape. Notably, participants include Bryn Mooser of Asteria Film Co., Cristóbal Valenzuela of Runway and Emmy and Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Ben Grossmann of Magnopus. Together, they offer insight into how new tools are reshaping storytelling at every level.
The Creators Market turns 10
The Tribeca Creators Market celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Since its 2016 launch, the invitation-only marketplace has supported more than 250 storytellers. This year, the cohort includes 40 projects across narrative, documentary, episodic and audio formats. As a result, participants gain direct access to representatives from Sony Pictures Classics, HBO, National Geographic and more.
Alumni have, over time, gone on to launch series and secure major development deals. Past participants include Britt Lower, Joe Penna, Steve Zahn and Caleb Hearon. Taken together, their success reflects the program’s broad reach across film, television and digital media.
Works in Progress Showcase highlights emerging films
The Works in Progress Showcase opens the Creators Market by spotlighting films in late-stage production and post-production. This year’s participants include Pacho Velez, Shaina Feinberg, Sofian Khan and CJ Hunt. In addition, international filmmakers from Canada, Scotland and Brazil also join the cohort. Moreover, recent alumni include Esta Isla, which won the Best New Narrative Director Award at the 2025 Tribeca Festival, and Are We Good?, the 2025 Marc Maron documentary. Both examples illustrate the kind of momentum the showcase consistently generates for its participants.
